Dr. Shane Turgeon
Dr. Shane Turgeon earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Florida, College of Dentistry. Prior to dental school, he attended the University of Minnesota and gained research experience in molecular biology at the Scripps Research Institute Neuroscience Department.
Dr. Shane pursued a residency at the Dental College of Georgia to expand his clinical skill set, which includes implant placement, fixed and removable prosthodontics, dental surgeries, rotary endodontics, and certification in IV sedation. He received both clinical and didactic training in treatment planning for complex cases, treating medically complex patients, and participated in clinical rotations in emergency medicine, pedodontics, and anesthesiology. His own personal adverse dental experiences as a child sparked Dr. Shane’s interest in providing sedation for patients with dental anxiety.
He earned his Fellowship from the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) and is currently an active member. In addition to advanced implant training, he pursued further training and continuing education in full-mouth rehabilitation. Dr. Shane is also an active member of the American Dental Association and the Florida Dental Association.
In his free time, Dr. Shane enjoys spending time with family and friends, fishing (including ice fishing), and, with his construction background, working on home renovation projects. Dr. Shane is dedicated to caring for each of his patient’s unique healthcare needs and looks forward to meeting you!
